New York City demands a specific kind of resilience from its business leaders. It is an ecosystem that rewards speed and execution, but often at the expense of long-term vision and personal well-being. For serial entrepreneur Naushad Parpia, true business success has never been about simply keeping up with the hustle. Instead, it’s about building scalable systems, fostering trust, and eventually, aligning commercial growth with personal purpose.

Naushad Parpia

His career arc is highly unusual—successfully navigating the high-stakes world of enterprise technology consulting before making a hard pivot into the consumer packaged goods (CPG) wellness space. But when you look at the habits and philosophies that drive him, the transition makes perfect sense.

The Early Spark of Entrepreneurship

Naushad’s drive to build companies wasn't born in a boardroom; it was forged by watching his family. Originally from Bombay, he relocated to the United States when he was just eight years old. Growing up, he had a front-row seat to the grit, dedication, and immense effort required to build a business from the ground up as he watched his parents navigate the entrepreneurial waters.

That foundational experience left a lasting mark. He didn't wait until adulthood to test his own capabilities, launching his first e-commerce venture at only 14 years old. Recognizing that natural business instincts need to be backed by formal strategy, he went on to attend the University of Virginia. In 2011, he graduated with a degree in Finance and Information Systems, equipping himself with the exact skill set needed to bridge financial strategy with complex technological architecture.

Scaling Plative in the NYC Tech Ecosystem

Armed with his degree and an innate drive to build, Naushad stepped into the notoriously competitive New York tech scene. He founded Plative, a premier digital transformation and management consultancy, taking on the role of Chairman.

At Plative, his vision was clear: help companies modernize their operations through cloud-based solutions and CRM platforms, but do it by putting people first. He focused heavily on internal corporate culture, fostering an environment rooted in collaboration, transparency, and employee empowerment.

This human-centric approach to a highly technical industry paid off exponentially. Plative didn't just survive in New York—it became an industry leader, earning a spot on the prestigious Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America for five consecutive years.

The Pivot to Purpose: Launching Earthside Farms

Many founders would have comfortably stayed in the enterprise technology sector after such a massive win. But Naushad’s personal passions began pulling him in a new direction.

Deeply invested in the science of longevity, fitness, and functional nutrition, he noticed a glaring problem in the modern food industry. Consumers were busier than ever and desperately needed convenient snacks, but legacy brands were offering highly processed products filled with artificial additives. There was a clear void for snacks that prioritized transparent, nutrient-dense ingredients without compromising on flavor.

In February 2022, Naushad launched Earthside Farms to solve that exact problem. Operating out of the greater New York area, the brand focuses on better-for-you alternatives like low-sugar candied nuts and premium dried fruits.

"Building a brand in the CPG space requires the same operational rigor as scaling a tech firm, but the ultimate reward is directly impacting the daily health and well-being of the consumer."

At Earthside Farms, every decision is guided by ethical practices. From sourcing high-quality natural ingredients from verified growers to supporting sustainable agricultural communities, Naushad has built a brand that modern, health-conscious consumers can genuinely trust.

The Blueprint of a Founder: Habits and Mindset

The transition from tech executive to wellness founder is fueled by a strict adherence to what Naushad calls the "growth mindset." He approaches leadership holistically, recognizing that professional excellence is impossible without personal discipline.

His daily routine is engineered for mental clarity and physical endurance:

  • Morning Momentum: He starts every day by feeding his mind, typically listening to an educational podcast, an autobiography, or an audiobook alongside a protein shake.

  • Active Leadership: To ensure he stays active despite a demanding executive schedule, he frequently takes his business calls while walking on a treadmill.

  • Dietary Discipline: Aligning with his personal health goals and his ethical stance on animal welfare, he follows a strict plant-forward, green diet.

When it’s time to disconnect from the pressures of NYC, his lifestyle is incredibly diverse. A global foodie, he loves exploring Ethiopian and Vietnamese cuisines. He unwinds to a massive variety of music—seamlessly jumping from the alternative rock of Keane to the global beats of Bad Bunny. And to truly recharge, he escapes to the water, frequently traveling to San Juan, Puerto Rico for a mental reset.

A Vision Beyond Commerce

For Naushad Parpia, growth means very little if it doesn't eventually serve a greater good. As Earthside Farms continues its upward trajectory, his long-term ambitions stretch far beyond market share and retail distribution.

He plans to eventually leverage his commercial success to establish a philanthropic foundation dedicated to tackling some of the world's most critical issues: climate change, animal welfare, and ocean conservation. By bridging the gap between high-quality consumer goods and global responsibility, Naushad Parpia is proving that modern entrepreneurs can build highly profitable ventures while leaving a profoundly positive impact on the world.
